Who We Are

EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida (formerly FOPC) was established in April 1973, for the purpose of promoting quality employee assistance programming in Florida’s public and private organizations. Today, EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida is the only statewide organization serving the EA profession. Members of EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida include internal and external EAP’s and EA professionals, and providers who serve EAP’s. Membership consists of representatives of management, unions and concerned others.

The EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida officers are President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, and five Directors who are elected biannually by the membership.

Our Approach

  • To promote quality employee assistance programs with uniformity of standards among Florida employers and labor unions;
  • To provide a forum for communication and exchange of ideas between members and the community;
  • To provide a liaison resource to the agencies of Florida State Government and other private and public agencies deemed appropriate by EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida;
  • To enhance the quality of Employee Assistance Programs and services by providing EA Program Assessment and Certification to those EA Programs meeting the criteria prescribed by EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida;
  • To promote research and solutions to problems affecting Florida’s business and industry;
  • To promote quality education for consultants and others directly involved in training or counseling in the field of employee assistance programming;
  • To aid and encourage the establishment of EAP curricula in Florida’s colleges and universities and to aid and encourage students having the requisite aptitudes to choose employee assistance programming as a career

Mission

It is the mission of EAP Behavioral Health Network of Florida to support the EA profession, including the certification of EA professionals (CEAP), EA Program Certification and other activities that enhance our profession and the skills of those who work in this challenging field.
